The advantages of freelancing and outsourcing are known to almost everyone. The country will be a middle earned country, the country will be rich, and it will be no. 1 earning source of the country etc. One calculated and said Bangladesh will be at 22nd positions among the richest countries in the world. Let me give an example before going to the main topic. Few years back it was said that huge amount of money can be earned by consultancy; millions of people will get works. Hundreds of institutions took license working hardly. Most of them did not started, the ones that started, maximum are closed and the rest are also going at the same way. There is no need to give more examples. Some of you can remember about data entry, medical data transcription, multimedia, WAP conversion etc.


So it is normal if you think that freelancing and outsourcing is walking to the same road the other did. There is not much interested in this topic even now. Some who were interested, hearing the process of earning in home, got deceived, some couldn’t found an easy way out and gave up, and some who works hard, are not giving up and trying hard to earn. Whatever the sayings are about freelancing from government/non-government or other sources, everyone has the same role in the place of works. What they only do will talk, will not help you in any way, rather they will create disturbance for you. Let us recollect the problems that were prevailing for many years:

• Internet is not easy to get. It has been said that the full country is under the services of internet, half the no. of mobile users use internet. But the reality is different. In the capital city, Dhaka, the ads are 1 TK per megabyte; network is not available every time. No need to mention the other places outside Dhaka. The word “Unlimited” stands for different meaning in Bangladesh. There is no chance of developing in freelancing without the sufficient service of internet.

• It is not easy for transaction of money. Without starting the PayPal service and easy banking, you should think of earning. You will work but won’t get any money; this system does not fit here. If the buying and selling process online is not activated, it won’t be possible to earn by google adsense, affiliated marketing etc.

• Training is not mentioned anywhere. It seems someone will learn on his own or learn in some training center type business institutions and will compete with the world. But this is very hard to stay in the competition while you are learning graphic design or animation in these types of ways and your competitor is a graduate in this topic. It is said that the increasing rate of population in Bangladesh is 25 lakhs. Some said the real amount is more than that. The rate of increasing unemployed people is also almost similar. No one is thinking about creating workplaces for these 15 to 20 lakhs of people. For many years, employment means sending workers to abroad. But now, that business is closed. Will anyone give the right instructions to the educated and uneducated unemployed people on Bangladesh? Usually if anyone gets in trouble, he thinks that someday, in some way, the problem will be over. At least I don’t have any idea about the solution of this problem. The only way I recommend is freelancing. Freelancing can give solutions for the following reasons:

• Working conditions is changing worldwide. Once for which people were recruited to do the works, now it is done through outsourcing. In near future, this process will increase.

• Big amount of investment is not needed here. You don’t need to create any industries. No need of raw materials or technology. Also you don’t need to take anyone’s responsibility. What only you need to do is to show the right way and remove the obstacles. Previously there are three problems mentioned. The solution is possible if you take steps regarding those problems. If the measurements are not taken, one way the people are going to be deceived, and the fraud will get chance to deceive. And this is what happening today.
